is a non-profit, 501(c)3, all volunteer, rescue group located in Akron, Ohio. We rescue dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens from the high-kill Summit County Animal Control Facility (also known as the pound), most on the day they are going to be euthanized. Heaven Can Wait is the ONLY rescue group that ONLY rescues from the Summit County Animal Control Facility. We devote our rescuing to the most destitute, who have no chance of living beyond the day they are going to be euthanized. While Heaven Can Wait cannot save all the animals from certain death at the pound, we try to make a difference, one animal at a time.
